The roles of children and the youth in development is often little understood to reach their goals and help their families as they strive every day to meet the challenges they encounter. We provide support to help the economically disadvantaged & build the basis of sustainable prosperity, through improving education and access to water, sanitation and hygiene in developing countries. We help organizations working with Sirumba which provide support for unpaid careers, increase employment opportunities or address educational inequality. “Development” is about more than economic growth or reducing poverty. Development means helping individuals and groups reach their full human potential and control their destiny. That is the goal of to help people around the world develop their capabilities as individuals, citizens, workers, and parents. History has shown us what’s possible when people can grow enough food. If we want to transform the lives of people, we need to focus our efforts on raising agricultural productivity, creating markets and making agriculture a business not a development activity. We have a rich background with a need to impart impact and change lives one person at a time. We are founded by the desire to help people lead a more balanced, integrated and powerful lives. We create the future in the present through imparting knowledge and self awareness, coming up with programs which enhance sustainable living and peace and creating a peaceful co-existence among persons and Environment. We focus on Economic development, social and cultural development through our very interactive projects.
In recent years, local economic development (LED) has become a widely practised development strategy in the countries of the North at both the local government and community levels. LED is less widely implemented in the South where, in most instances, it appears to be still in an incipient phase. This paper investigates the current status of LED in Kenya, where, over the past decade, local governments, community groups and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have become significantly more active in locality-based economic development. Several local governments have established comprehensive LED programmes including the establishment of LED units and the pursuit of a range of developmental strategies, whilst in parallel, an array of community and NGO initiatives are in place. In almost all cases, however, results are still of a rather limited nature and this paper assesses some of the reasons for this situation.
